Our Story

Innovations for Development (I4DEV) was founded in 2018 by Dr Danny Gotto and a team of committed partners, and formally registered as a non-governmental organisation in 2019.

I4DEV was created to address a critical gap in development practice: many promising innovations remain stuck in pilot stages or research reports, never translating into real impact for communities. We set out to ensure that innovation is not only designed—but implemented, adopted, and sustained through strong community ownership.

Since its inception, I4DEV has grown from a small, unfunded start-up into a results-driven organisation delivering integrated programmes that respond to community priorities while strengthening systems and structures for long-term transformation.
